Pictured below through the wooden gates is the front seating area and entrance door to Rollen Cottage and the next picture shows a beautiful and comfy lounge with reclining leather sofas in which to relax in front of the log burning stove.

If you like walking, comfort and peace & quiet then this is thoroughly recommended. Situated in the Southern Lake District, The area of Arnside is in itself part of a designated AONB and is... beautiful. The cottage itself is tastefully furnished, and comfortable throughout.
The owner treated us more like a friend than a customer. What not to like!

New in 2018 The pictures shows our new balcony and additional patio area, this is far more private and gives fantastic views towards Arnside and Cumbria's Lakeland District Fells, great to relax after a day of Cumbrian sightseeing.
Walking Holidays -The cottage is a great base for a Walking there are many many circular routes from the doorstep of the cottage providing a variety for everyone, for example Arnside Knott and the Fairy steps, further away you can easily access more demanding walks and scrambles in the Cumbrian Lakeland Fells and return home to the tranquility of the cottage.
Birdwatchers and Butterfly enthusiasts - the area offers many species of rare butterflies and a great variety of bird species, Leighton Moss, RSPB reserve can be reached in just a short 8 minute drive by car.
Cycling in recent years the network of cycle routes in the area and around the area have become extremely popular.
The Picture opposite shows the view from Sandside over the bay towards Grange you can catch the train over the Arnside viaduct to the Edwardian Village or travel further to watch Cartmel Horse racing or Estrigg railway.
Events - The location of this Cumbrian cottage allows us to offer this as a venue for couples and thier friends to celebrate the more mature birthdays and anniversaries, please feel free to call us and ensure we are the right place for you, your celebration and relaxation as we are far too small for Stag, Hen parties.
Pets - We love four legged friends unfortunately we are unable to accept dogs please call us if you are struggling to find somewhere we may be able to help?
